Family Vacation

We have had a busy couple of weeks again. This first pictures goes along with my last post, when we went camping.
Minivan pulling a boat - Ryan thinks it's funny.
On the16th we headed to Salt Lake for another little family vacation. Our plan for the 17th was to start with Thanksgiving Point, but they don't open until 10:00 so we started the day by going to Cabela's, the kids thought that was great, all the fun animals to look at. If you haven't been there it is worth stopping by. Ryan had a good time too, he got some fishing stuff he just had to have.
Then we headed to Thanksgiving Point. We started with the Museum of Ancient Life. It was a lot of fun. Below are a few pictures.
Here is me walking under the Supersaurus.
Here are Jael and Lindsey playing at the Erosion Table.
Lindsey and me with the T-Rex's - she was a little scared.
Jael showing us the shark model.
The girls playing in the fossil dig.

Then we headed a little south to the big Red Barn, where they have farm animals and stuff for the kids to look at and pet. We found this kind of funny since at home if we go west a few streets we could do the same thing for free, but the kids had fun.
Here is Jael riding her pony.
Here is Lindsey riding her pony, and me making sure she doesn't fall off.

After that we met Ryan's parents at the Oquirrh Temple open house. I was excited to take Jael so she could see inside, she loved the chandelier, they are beautiful. Lindsey had a little fit, as soon as she saw the baptismal font and whined to go swimming the rest of the tour. Below are some pictures from that.

After the temple we went out to eat and then did most of Jael's school shopping. Then we headed up to Brighton. Ryan's parents are the host couple at the Brighton Girls camp this summer. We spent the night there and about half of Saturday. Then Ryan, Lindsey and I went home. We left Jael with Grandma and Grandpa for a few days. She had a great time. She saw moose and deer and lots of squirrels and chipmunks. She rode the zip line and made some new friends. I'll post some of those pictures when Margaret gets them to me. On Thursday Lindsey and I met then in Fillmore and picked up Jael.

It sounds like a busy, but very fun, week. I'm glad your family got the chance to go to the open house, even though Lindsey wanted to go swimming for the tour. Funny girl.

Very fun! I'm glad you and your family are having a good summer. Sounds busy! At least it's busy with good things, though. :) I've heard that the Oquirrh temple is really pretty.
