Wow - I have slacked off on the blog. Things have been crazy! So here is an update of the last few months.
The last blog left off on the Biggest Loser 5k, I've done a couple more 5k's, the GPA 5k, the St George Midnight 5k, that one was a lot of fun, and the Groovefest 5k. I actually trained pretty good for the Groovefest race, but 4 days before I got pleurisy, which is an inflammation of the lining of the lungs and chest that leads to sharp chest pain when you take a breath - fun. I did the race anyway and got a horrible time. I'm not planning on doing another one until November.
At the end of the school years last spring I got a call from the Principle of Jael's school - never a good sign, but this was a little different. I got nominated as PTA Treasurer, I'm just getting into that now that school has started, so far so good, but it will make for an extra busy school year. I have a lot of fun girls to work with, all of us are new to the PTA thing, but I think we will do okay.
In May Lindsey had her dance recital, she loved it. She was so excited for dance class to start again this fall. Here is a picture of her at the last recital.
Serving in Young Women's during the Summer means Girls Camp. This was my third year at camp. I was able to go for two days and one night thanks to my mom babysitting. We had Ward Camp this year, it was great, the camp leaders did an awesome job. We camped a Bower Flats by Mammoth Creek. One bonus was I got to stay in my friend Diane's trailer instead of a tent. Here is a picture of one of the "shelters" the girls built.
Ryan had carpal tunnel surgery, he has his right hand done on August 10th - the day before our 10th anniversary, needless to say we didn't really do anything. Then he had the left hand done on August 22. Currently he is still home recovering, he gets to go back to work on September 12th. While he has been home I have be spending a lot more time at the office. It is amazing how much I actually get done when I'm not interrupted every two minutes. Here is a picture I took of him after the first surgery.
This fall I have both kids in soccer, which has been fun to schedule, especially as Jael seems to have her games on Tuesday night, which is when we have Young Women's, I've done pretty good and this week is the first activity I have to miss in order to attend the game. Jael has really improved this year, she is a lot more confident and really gets in there, she is a great defensive player. Her team this year is called the "Super Popsicles" Here is a picture of her playing - her team is in the bright yellow/green.
This year is Lindsey's first time playing - and they are really just learning the basics, it is fun to watch all these tiny girls running around after the ball. Lindsey is loving it. Here is a picture of her posing in her uniform. Her team is the "Pink Panthers".
Jael started 2nd grade this year. Below is a picture of her on the first day of school. She is loving it! In about a month she will be 8 and will be baptized. She gets to be baptized on her birthday which will be fun. I just got her white dress in the mail, she looks so pretty in it. I'll have my sister take some good pictures of her in it and post them too.
Lindsey starts preschool tomorrow, she has been trying to count the days since school got out in May. I'll try to remember to post a picture of her on her first day too.
I guess that is all for now. I'll try not to go so long before posting again.

Holy cow, Jael looks so old in that last picture! I hope she has a great baptism day! Both your girls are getting so big.
I hope Ryan recovers well from his surgery. But that is nice that you're getting stuff done at the office. :)
I forget how busy you are! You are just like Mom, always on the run! :) I love the pictures of the girls! You will have to let me know when they have a game so I can come and watch. Let me know when you want some pictures so we make sure and actually do it, sorry we haven't gotten to them yet.
